Gardening is a funny thing.
There are some plants that you fuss and fidget over watering, fertilizing, weeding...........
They die. sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly.
Then there are the ones that you ignore, abuse neglect and they grow and flourish.
This coreopsis somehow got pulled out with a handful of weeds and got shoved into a pot of rocks and gravel on the north side of the house. It was not watered (ever) for about four yours. Straining and struggling mightily it never failed to still put out about a half a dozen blooms almost every year.
After all its time in exile I finally decided it deserved its own home in actual dirt.
